The Laurel Grocery Company is a London, Kentucky, based grocery wholesaler, distributor and store franchiser. They have a fleet of new Volvo tractors and refridgerated trailers. Sometime in the mid 90's (or earlier) they switched paint schemes, probably related to the same time they switched truck brands. Most of the older trucks were non-sleeper cab-over GMC's, while the newer trucks are Volvos, and some of them have sleepers.

Old trucks are defined by their paint scheme - white with green stripe and a logo on the door. The green stripe on these trucks is 15 inches tall, with a 10 inch tall number.
The trailers were white with the same green stripe running down the side. The rear doors are silver (chrome) and have the laurel leaf and company name on the doors. Some trailers were all silver with the same green stripe. The numbers are located on the front corners.
These things are getting very hard to find, so if you see one (or even better, get a photo of one), please email us with the truck's number and any details.

Kenworth T-600 w/ sleeper |
New trucks have a solid green paint scheme,
with the white laurel leaf logo on the door. These can be seen frequently
on the local interstates.
-On July 13, 2001, I saw the Kenworth
T-2000 on I-75 at Clays Ferry headed southbound. I could not get
either it's number nor the trailers' number. It too was green but
the white "leaf" logo was up high on the sleeper.
-In late August, I also saw a T-600 "Anteater"
lettered for Laurel Grocery, but I did not get the number from it.... this
truck and the T-2000 were headed east from Louisville on I-64.

New trailers have a full-side graphic on both sides and the new laurel leaf logo on the rear doors. Older trailers had the laurel leaf and "Laurel Grocery" on the sides in green and a large laurel leaf on the rear doors. We have seen new trucks pulling older trailers, as well, however they are disappearing quickly.
It appears as though Laurel Grocery has a small fleet of long-haul trucks, the two I've seen so far have both been Kenworth's, one T-2000 and one T-600. They have the standard green with white graphics schemes, (the T-600 was not "LGGreen" like the Volvos) but the graphics are located in different places on the cabs.
